Our Story

Chess4kids was founded in 2010 by Bea Johner. Her son was diagnosed with ADHD and she was looking for an alternative to classic treatment like Ritalin to support his development. So she started with the first branch in Zollikon and step by step a new interactive and fun methodology was developed for Kids 4 years up.

WEEKLY COURSES

We offer fun and interactive chess classes for kids 4 years up. We have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Our course centers are in Küsnacht, Horgen, Zürich-Wollishofen, Zürich-Oerlikon, Baden and Zug.

VACATION CAMPS

Chess4kids offers regularly body & brain vacation camps for kids 5 years up. We offer half- and full day camps at all our 6 locations for beginner and advanced. Pre- and late care bookable.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Do you want to celebrate your birthday while learning something exciting together with your friends? Chess4kids offers cool birthday parties at our locations for kids 4 years up. Come and enjoy our interactive game party. Our home made chess cake will round up your exciting afternoon.

ONLINE COURSE

Have you always wanted to learn chess but don’t have time to come to our classrooms? Or do you want to improve your chess level? Chess4kids offers online chess courses for children aged 5 to 15 years, which are led by experienced, competent trainers.

Checkmate Corona – the online classes and camp program with brainpower!

Unfortunately we cannot hold our courses and camps in the course locations for the time being. We have therefore organised an exciting programme for online classes and holiday camps! Here you can find all information: Chess4kidsonline

Infos about Corona

Our classes and camps are taking place after clarifying with BAG. For the kids that want to stay home we offer online classes or they can make up the missed classes later. We also offer some morning care options for the parents in the comminication.
